About Us

The Arabic word Islam literally means “surrender” or “submission” Islam, as a faith ,means total and sincere surrender to Allah so that one can live in peace and tranquility. Peace (Salaam in Arabic, Shalom in Hebrew) is achieved through active obedience to the revealed commandments of Allah, for Allah is The Just, the (Granter of) Peace.
The name Islam is universal in meaning. Islam is not named after a tribe of people or an individual, as Judaism is named after the tribe of Judah, Christianity after Christ, and Buddhism after Buddah.Islam is not a name chosen by human beings; it was divinely communicated from Allah. Islam is a global faith, not of the East or the West. Islam is a complete way of life, implying a total submission to Allah. One who surrenders his or her will to Allah, voluntarily, is called a Muslim. It was not Muhammad (SAW) but Adam (AS) who first brought Islam to humanity. Then each Prophet and Messenger came to exhort the people to a clear understanding of Allah´s commandments. They offered teachings relevant to that time, until Allah chose the final Prophet, Muhammad (SAW), to come with the Last Testament referred to as the Qur´an.
Allah is an Arabic word, meaning “The One and Only True God”, the proper name of The One who created the heavens and the earth. Arabic– speaking Jews and Christians also call God by the name Allah. For a Muslim, Allah is the greatest and most inclusive of names for the only true God, denoting The One who is adored in worship, The One who created all that exists.

Monotheism

The concept of monotheism (known as Tauheed in Arabic) is the single most important concept in Islam.

Monotheism points to the first of the Ten Commandments, and in Islam everything is built upon the oneness of Allah. Islam calls humanity away from the worship of any part of creation to the worship of the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD. No act of worship or devotion has any meaning or value if the concept of Monotheism is, in any way compromised.
Due to its importance, the concept of Monotheism (divine unity and singularity) must be properly and fully understood.

For ease of discussion, monotheism can be looked at from the following three perspectives.

  • The Oneness of Allah in His Lordship (Omnipotence).
  • The Devotion of All worship to THE ONE GOD ALONE.
  • The Uniqueness and Oneness of Allah in His names and Attributes (Asmaa´ul Husna).

This breakdown is by no means the only way to approach the subject that God is one and unique, but it allows the topic to be easily analyzed and discussed. (Monotheism is the key to understanding Islam, and revisiting this concept is recommended).

LESSONS ON PATIENCE AND PERSEVERANCE
When you are hurt by people who share same blood as you, then just remember Yusuf (AS) who was betrayed by his own brothers
If you find your parents opposing you, remember Ibrahim (AS), whose father led him to the fire
If you are stuck with a problem where there is no way out, remember Yunus (AS), who was stuck in the belly of a whale
If you are ill and your body cries with pain, remember Ayoob who was more ill than you
When someone slanders you, remember Ai´sha(RA), who was slandered through the city
When you are lonely, recall Aadam(AS) who was created alone
When you can´t see any logic around you, think of Nuh(AS) who built an ark without questioning
If you are mocked by your own relatives then think of Prophet Muhammed(SAW)
Allah Ta´ala put these Prophets to trial, so that later generations may learn a lesson of patience & perseverance.
